WELCOME TO KIDCITY !

We believe in the next generation and that children don’t have to wait until they’re older to walk in the fullness of God. We want to empower them to live with Kingdom purpose now. Throughout history, God has placed great value on young people, partnering with them to see His purposes accomplished in the earth. Your children are important to us, and we desire to partner with you, their parents, to see them learn to love and follow Jesus. Our goal is to connect kids to Jesus, as well as to a community of people who can encourage and challenge them in their faith.

What Parents Can Expect

KidCity classes are offered during the morning services. Check-in is opened fifteen minutes prior to the start of each service.

Families can enter the left side of the lobby where KidCity check-in is located.

At check-in, each child will receive a name tag with a code that corresponds to a guardian tag. To ensure their safety, this guardian tag is required to check-out your child.

We have two wings of classrooms in our building. The first wing is to the left of the main lobby and the second wing is behind the sanctuary, through the Fireside Room.

Check-out occurs in each classroom and we ask that one parent lines up for check-out to keep things moving along smoothly. The parent will need their guardian tag in order to pick up their child.

A KidCity volunteer will be at the entryway of the first KidCity wing to help facilitate check-out and pick-up.

What Kids Can Expect

We have designed KidCity to engage kids with the gospel of Jesus and partner with their parents, so that we – the church and families – can train the next generation of Jesus followers.

We use games, crafts, video lessons, and creative stories tailored to each age group to teach the message. We love to have a good time at church, but we don’t want to simply entertain children; we want children to learn about Jesus. We believe creating a fun environment for kids will help children learn to love and follow Jesus and create a space where kids can grow in their relationship with each other and our leaders.

Lessons about Christ and the Bible will be age appropriate and will help them understand God’s love and plan for their life.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I bring my kids into the service with me if I am not comfortable putting them in KidCity yet?

Yes! Kids are always welcome to join the main service at any time.

Will my child be given a snack during class?

Yes! Snacks are provided. We maintain a peanut free facility. A full list of common allergens will be posted outside of the classroom door each week. If your child has food allergies, you are welcome to bring a snack from home.

What is the bathroom and diaper changing policy?

In order to be above reproach, KidCity has a hands-off bathroom policy. This includes diaper changes, clothing changes, or assistance with potty training. Nursery volunteers are not allowed to change diapers. We will alert a parent by text message if their child needs a diaper change or other assistance. There are diaper changing stations in the last stall of both the men’s and women’s restrooms.

How are parents contacted if needed during service?

Our check-in system will send a text message to the primary contact that was selected for the family during check-in that Sunday. It is important that the designated parent keeps their phone with them during the service in case they need to be reached.

How do we provide safety at KidCity?

Your child’s safety is our priority. We want parents to rest assured that their child(ren) are well cared for and safe while they are in service. We require a volunteer application and background check on anyone who serves with kids. There are always at least two adults in each classroom. And we have a secure check-out process to ensure children leave with the correct parent or guardian.
